furniture for sale.

Hello lovelies... in case you might be interested, we have some furniture to part with upon moving into our new home (soon, oh so soon!)... here's the scoop!

For sale is a pair of two overstuffed chairs & ottoman, and 4 coordinating pillows.

There are two square pillows in linen, and two rectangular lumbar pillows in the aqua print.
The aqua print fabric is Schumacher Lace in Aqua. I first spotted it in a photo of Gwenyth Paltrow’s Hampton’s home-- you can see that image here although the fabric image has been color corrected for print, so it appears much more blue/white than it actually is.

The Schumacher fabric is to-the-trade only and retails for over $200/yard. Six total yards were used on the ottoman and two pillows!
The furniture was originally purchased from Star Furniture but was professionally reupholstered, rebatted (new stuffing, structuring, webbing, etc.) in October of 2008, last year. So they are like brand new and have been very gently used. SUPER comfy, super spacious... Just don’t have a place for them in our new house.
$1500 for the set of 2 chairs, ottoman, and 4 coordinating pillows.
I am willing to sell the pieces individually--
 1 Chair with 1 Linen Pillow & 1 Aqua Pillow ($500)
Ottoman ($500)

They are listed on Craigslist if you want to check the listing http://houston.craigslist.org/fuo/1450122483.html.

Thanks for taking a peek... let me know if you or someone you know might be interested.

two things.

Lovely readers, real quick... tell me your thoughts.

I've had my eye on emersonmade for a while now & I am thinking about ordering one of these handmade flower brooches for our family picture next weekend... your thoughts? Red Linen Poppy, or Yellow Linen Dandy?
So... I'm having another baby. We have our girl's name locked in, it was our girl name for Carson, and it will remain our girl name until we either have one, or don't. We have no boys names, none. Help-- send 'em my way. We're at a loss... we've got nothin'-- it's not even that we can't agree on a name, we just don't really LOVE any. Sure, there's a few we like-ish, but we just don't love them. Don't think we can name a child something we're lukewarm about. So help!
You're the best ever.

fall into the gap.

One of my sweet friends, Lindsey, posted a Christmas Wish List tonight, which included a faaaabulous dijon colored corduroy jacket from The Gap. I am not a Gap girl... I spend oodles of money there for Carson, but it just never quite does it for me.

Until now.

I clicked on over hoping to find the Corduroy jacket in my size (headed to the store manana)... and came across so many adorable Fall/Winter things that I would just love to have. Feast your eyes on some lovely sweaters, jackets, tees, and vests from... The Gap?!! Who knew?
Unfortunately, the city I live in doesn't believe in Fall. It's actually going to be as hot as 82 degrees one day this week... ugh!
Someday my cool weather will come.....................

He's Still a Monkey.

In just a few days, 10 to be exact... our little monkey will turn two years old. It's hard to believe that his monkey-themed first birthday bash was a year ago! At the time, nothing was more fitting than to celebrate our baby boy "monkey style." Seriously, just days old, Kevin was already calling him Little Monk... and to this day, he's still our monkey. I see monkey clothes, monkey toys, monkey anything... and I immediately think of Carson. Here we are, just over a week away from his 2nd birthday and although the theme of this bash is different, he's still the most precious monkey to us!

Enjoy some fabulous monkey finds on the market right now. I want to add every single one of these items to CT's monkey repertoire.

I am IN LOVE, in love with this adorable monkey backpack.
How stinkin' cute would our son be with this little guy strapped to his back?
I've been eyeing this tee on Etsy for a while now... how cute are these swingin' monkeys?
... and can you only imagine how a-dorable our ski monkey would be in this orange and blue (swoon!) little hat? So precious for a winter vacation. I adore this. Etsy, you are going to get ALL of our money.
It was so fun, the year Carson was turning one, to watch the Tori & Dean episodes with Little Liam, their monkey. Sooooo many of the things they had for Liam we had for Carson... and then, of course, they had a fabulous, celebrity-esque monkey birthday party to commemorate his first year. Truthfully, we had our heart set on a monkey first birthday long before we saw Tori & Dean's... I guess when you have a monkey, it just fits!

Do y'all have a nickname for you kiddo that has stuck over the years? Have you done any themed parties ala Tori & Dean to commemorate? Ironically, my own birthday is Monday... and I am so much more excited about celebrating our little guy's big day than my own.

Totally unrelated... but need your opinion, nonetheless. Should I get THESE?
